Want to traIN with the elite?

We are hosting our first Training Camp Monday September 2nd in Lake Country at Jack Seaton Park. This is an opportunity for athletes currently in Rep ball or ready to take the next step, to dust off the bats and get ready for tryouts. Please note this camp is not for beginners and athletes will be training both separately and together within age groups. This camp is open to athletes born in 2011 and up.

Athletes will be broken out into throwing, fielding based on their preferred position(s) and batting sessions. Pitching Information is below.

There will also be an information session for parents and other coaches on our rep program, what it means to play rep ball and how we can all support each other while building a community for our kids. Rep and travel ball is an incredible experience that involves a lot of commitment from families but it is also a ton of fun both on and off the field. Whether you play for the Okanagan Elite or not, we are all here to support the kids playing.

SCHEDULE:

PITCHING SESSION 1: 12-2

PITCHING SESSION 2: 2-4

SKILLS CAMP: 4-7

PARENT/COACH INFO 4:15-4:45

PITCHING: Kim Wright and Jen Mineau will be joining us to lead two, two hour sessions with pitchers. This will be small group based with a coaching/athlete ratio of 1-3. Each pitcher will receive an analyst of their personal pitching style, technique and pitch improvements. This information will carry through with any Elite pitchers throughout the winter training season. Limited spots open, each pitcher must provide their own catcher. Pitchers will be placed in sessions according to skill sets.

Kim Wright is the founder of West Coast Softball and is the pitching coach to many of the top Rep A & B ball pitchers in the Lower Mainland. She was the guest coach with Team Canada for the Pan-Am Games, Head Coach of the Venezuela National Women’s Team and Head Coach in the Italian Pro League.

Jen Meneau is a 3 time All American pitcher who was drafted and played in the National Pro Fastpitch League. Within the NCAA she is #4 in all time career perfect games, #15 in no-hitters and #16 in all time career strike outs. Over her four year college pitching career batters hit 0.161 against her and held a 10:1 strikeout to walk ratio.
